Product Overview
These are flakes of natural mica that have given metallic treatments (Silver, Gold, Copper) using thin films of Titaniuim Dioxide and Iron Oxide or in the case of the color Black have natural impurities so dark as to make them appear black. They have been run through mesh screens providing sizes of 4-8 mesh and 8-20 mesh and are packed by the pound or 3.5oz/100Gram amounts. These micas are inert (non-reactive) and can be used in most painting mediums, glazes and waxes and can also be layered over prepared adhesive substrates.
