Product Overview
These cushions are used as a base for cutting leaves of gold or precious metal leaf down to size. The gilder's knives used should be sharp enough to cut the gold leaf but not so sharp as to cut through the leather cushion. Both of the Handover cushions are 6' x 9" and come with collapsible draft shields. In the Standard cushion the draft shield is a heavy parchment-like paper and in the Professional, the shield is made of real animal vellum (which the gold leaf is less attracted to).
